That's the reason why the lowest quality LCD TV company wins this round.<br><br>And Plexus, how old are you?  You "pefer" to keep your "Kouro"?  What the hell is that?  Are you old <br>enough to own a Kuro? I think not.<br><br>Also, the general public must have pretty bad tastes. I'm not sure where I got this impression from but I used to think that Sharp did pretty well and was one of the largest LCD makers?  Don't a lot of third party companies work with sharp and in some cases buy panels from Sharp's manufacturing plant or is that my imagination? I recall hearing a lot of sharp + whoever joint venture things..<br><br>Have they always been between 5-10% like the chart above shows? Why buy into marking when you will never realize the results in rooms without light control. There's a reason. Regardless of economy, purchase decisions are made at the intersection of price and screen size. Do some research and check into one yourself first. They are very good price the price. My primary TV is a 46" Sony Wega, but I have TWO Vizio's in my house. A 32" in the bedroom and a 37" 1080p for the Xbox and PS3. I've owned the 32" for about several years and it hasn't hard a problem yet. <br><br>Not everyone can afford a Sony or a Samsung, despite being only maybe a hundred more. If my Sony ever dies and I can't repair it myself, i'll probably just get another Vizio and save myself some money. Picture quality and  functions ability much better with the Vizio. The Vizio was a $132.00 cheaper than an equivalent Sony 32" which was about the same in picture quality. I wonder if the economy is fueling the more bang for your buck on the plasma side.<br><br>And their newer model 2009 Plasma's are much brighter and might just be enough to sway customers from the torchlite brightness of LCD.
