The world needs another cable sports network as much as it need more credit card debt, but if we have to continue to be forced to subscribe to another 24x7 channel to ensure that we have access to as much HD sports as possible, than so be it. The big news this year for CBS College Sports -- as far as we're concerned -- is that every single one of its 42 college football match-ups will be presented in HD. This will mostly consists of games from the Mountain West, C-USA and military teams, which should make for some pretty good games. Now if only our provider carried the network in HD we'd be all set.
I don't get CBS CS in HD, nor do I get it in SD anymore, but when I had directv I thought it's hockey coverage was far superior to the matchups of college football it had to offer.
Hopefully their fall hockey schedule is all HD as well.
Man, I wish RCN would carry CBS College Sports in HD. We've got the SD version and there's some related HD on-demand programming, but no HD linear channel. It's a real bummer, since there are some great college football match-ups on there from time to time.
Was that supposed to be a knock that the games would include the Mountain West? If so, please look at the top 25 and realize that three of the teams on there are MWC members, and that one of them just scored the biggest upset of the season. Would you rather have the Big Least on the channel?
Just an FYI. I think you mean "credit card debt", not "credit card debit".
Not meaning to be the grammar police, just figured you'd like to know.
These games are probably still shot in 16X9 SD and upconverted. Just can't see this channel spending the money on HD cameras and production trucks for C-USA and Mountain West games.
