These weekly posts are starting to make us sound like a broken record. In fact we really don't know what else there's to say about another week of solid catalogs and TV shows for Blu-ray. By our count we have about another five weeks of this before the Summer blockbusters start to get released on Blu-ray.
- My Name Is Earl: Season Four (Fox)
- Wrong Turn (Fox)
- Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (Fox)
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Fox)
- Amadeus (Warner)
- Casablanca (Warner)
- An American Werewolf In London (Universal)
- Army Of Darkness (Universal)
- Van Helsing (Universal)
- Deep Impact (Paramount)
- Varsity Blues (Paramount)
- Easy Virtue (Sony)
- Iron Monkey (Buena Vista)
- The Legend Of Drunken Master (Buena Vista)
- Zatoichi (Buena Vista)
- Child's Play (MGM)
- The Hannibal Lecter Collection (MGM)
- Misery (MGM)
- Crash: The Complete First Season (Anchor Bay)
- Grace (Anchor Bay)
- Camille (E1)
- Hero (Miramax)
- The Wonder Of It All (Indican Pictures)
You guys should really add little thumbnails for each movie poster or pic.
It may be too much work for them. I remember when they used to link each movie to the blu-ray.com reviews and/or imdb. Those were the good days. You'd see a movie and go ...huh, I haven't hard of this and instantly see a review with one click. Now its like a four step process of opening a new tab, opening imdb.com, searching by entering the title, finding the result.
Nothing wrong with that. Just not as convenient is all.
Man, IMDb links would be awesome! Most of the movies I am unfamiliar with. Being said, if I was interested in one I never heard after reading the IMDb review, I'd get the netflix DVD and then decide if it was worth it.
My Name is Earl was a great show the first season but I quit watching it early during season 2 and never picked it up again. Not sure if I'd buy the Blu-ray seasons. But Life (also canceled) I would buy without a doubt. The Office release last week is great. Can't wait for Parks and Recreation to be released. House and Scrubs too!
Make them Amazon links and then it would be worthwhile
You could probably get netflix, amazon, blu-ray.com or somebody else to create the set of links for you if it went to their site.
hasn't Casablanca been out for awhile on Blu- ray? Is this a new version?
It's the Unrated edition ;)
The previous release was a $70 collector set with all kinds of unnecessary extras.
uh ... guys.
You have one of the summer blockbusters in your list, right there.
It's a little thing called X Men Origins: Wolverine.
Granted it didn't really score as high as many were expecting, but couting it as a "catalogue or TV series" is a bit harsh.
Also, by my count, Monsters vs Aliens, a pretty good big animation movie, comes long before another 5 weeks.
So ... It's not like the floodgates of Blockbusters have openened (like they will strting in October), but they are starting to trickle down.
Man, August and September have had a serious lack of interesting titles and that's a good thing considering how many pre-orders I've made for titles releasing in October, November and December.
Amadeus? Is this the snap case version versus the previously released book style release?
Looks like a lot of HD DVD to Blu-ray ports for Universal. Hopefully they learned their lesson and none of them will be repeats of their botched port of "The Thing".
I very weak season of Earl last year, darn shame for a show to limp off the way it did.
I'm in for Wolverine and Casablanca.
Uh, Wolverine earned around $180 million. I think that qualifies as a blockbuster?
