Blu-ray releases on October 20th 2009

Oh man do we just love this time of year, not only are the super hot days of summer over, but Football is here and now the big blockbuster movies are hitting Blu-ray. And of the big movies for 2009, none is bigger than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which hits Blu-ray tomorrow -- actually if you really can't wait, you can go to Best Buy at midnight tonight and pick it up. We can't say we blame 'em, but the rest of the studios pretty much let Paramount make this Transformers week as there really isn't anything else out there to get excited about. That's ok though, because in the next 12 weeks there should be plenty to choose from.- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Paramount)

Dont go to Best Buy! Go to Walmart and get the Imax version for 20 bucks!
So what's the deal on that? There's seriously two different SKUs for Transformers, one with the opened up IMAX footage (like Dark Knight) and one without?
If so, that's incredibly lame. Way to add a ton of confusion to the marketplace, Paramount/WalMart.
Yup, the walmart version opens up on the Imax scenes. BS should have been just like TDK.

Nearly half of the movie is imax ratio full scren over 50 minute much longer than in dark knight scene.

Original Transformers was fun, but this move was lame. Sure wont buy it, don't even think I would bother to rent it either. Flopismaximus.
+1 on the lame Wally World only version with IMAX scenes. Props for multiple coupons one can use on either the BD or DVD.
Another thumbs down for Universal's porting the HD DVD of Waterworld and slapping a DTS-MA soundtrack on top of it. Hello? Does BD not have enough room for the extended cut? Maybe I'll double dip on it if they eventually pull their head out and re-release the extended version.
The BD does have enough, yes. But you also have to consider that the source on the extended portions of the Extended Edition are awful and need an extensive clean-up job. Universal is going to clean it up, I'm sure of that. But, I'm sure they want collectors to have to double-dip on it.
Whatever, I'm pretty sure the secret of the nutcracker is a better movie than transformers.
I'm sure you must mean better than Transformers 2. Transformers was good for what it was, but the 2nd sucked so much... I would rather watch Waterworld 100 more times than watch Transformers 2 again.

Ichi is illegal? I though i saw it aired once on cable.. wait i think i downloaded it.. nevermind.. So it is true that it was illegal at one point?
