Big week for Pixar fans as the latest animated feature,
Up, is released, along with the Pixar classic
Monster, Inc. Warner continues to release catalogs, but with the size of its catalog, it could probably release four a week every week and still never finish. For the most part this is a good week for Blu-ray but
we know you are with us when we say that next week is what we're really waiting for as
Star Trek was probably the best movie to hit the theaters this year and it hits Blu-ray next Tuesday.

Been waiting for this all day .. it should be on Monday so we can get the Netflix/Blockbuster Queue ready !
Other then Up/Monsters inc/Heat/The Negotiator .. what here is good ?
Somewhat impressive list here, but I honestly don't see how Blu-ray can improve a film like Logan's Run, one my favorites from the '70s. The story was tense and engaging, but the effects were downright primitive (e.g., a sentry robot named "Box" who looked like...just YouTube it; you'll see!). Not to mention it won't look as great as most modern transfers (released in 1976). Then again, there IS a Blu-ray of THX-1138, a sci-fi cult classic from '71.
Guess that means A Boy And His Dog, Zardoz, and Silent Running are headed to Blu-ray too. Telepathic dogs FTW!
Well you do get to see Jenny Agutter wearing a skimpy dress in HD.
I rented Monsters Inc. in Blu-ray from Blockbuster weeks ago. What gives?
Shhhhhhhhh -
I'm not sure if I'm excited or dreading the 4 and a half hours of Watchmen that await me this weekend...
How come UP and other recent releases are not in 3D as they were in the theatres?
monsters vs aliens for example, same thing
UFC: Ultimate 100 Greatest Fights on Bluray is out today, exclusive to best buy for the first month. It's 1800 minutes long and contains 100 full fights. I mention it because it's a cool 6 disc set with a gold box set and a booklet.

3 hours of Watchmen is good enough for me.
