"TLC (1080i) has the series finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8 at 9 p.m"
About time. How can you have "Jon & Kate" when all you have is "Kate Plus 8"?
Besides, it was just a "morbid curiosity" show anyway. "Watch Octo-Mom and her family self-destruct!"
@Michael Maybe they could've renamed it to "Kate + 8" and kept it going as a whole new show?
@MRCUR
Perhaps, but the show has probably outlived its curiosity quotient.
If you're watching a family self-destruct, a completed divorce is the detonation; all else is just minor fallout and debris. The series was watching the creation of the self-destruct device, followed by watching the timer count down, interspersed with some minor failed (and half-hearted) attempts at defusing the device they had created earlier in the show.
They caused their own problems, going all the way back to the doctor-assisted pregnancy of eight simultaneous kids (which was a minor news annoyance at the time). Now they have to live with the consequences.
