Don't think for a second VIZIO is planning on giving up that "America's#1 LCD HDTV Company" title, announcing it sold over 280,000 televisions over the Black Friday week. That's a 40% increase over last year, with 50,00 120/240Hz TVs in the mix and over 20,000 50-inch+ models. Those
soundbars? Over 7,000 moved. It would appear that
moving slightly upmarket with its pitch (as prices in general have plunged) has been a winning strategy for the company, we'll sit back and see how happy the competition is with their 4Q performance, and what, if anything, the other LCD manufacturers can do to wrestle the crown away.
unfortunately with vizio you get what you pay for!
It's called value, and I've had my 42" 1080p Vizio for over 2 years and it runs great.
And for once an American company does something right, the least any American should do is b1tch about it.
Vizio is inexpensive and runs great 100% of the time, they are other brands that are cheaper and runs like sh!t from day one, that's when it's appropriate to say: "you get what you pay for"
@Joe Las Vegas
i'm pretty sure your American Vizio's are made in Korea or Taiwan, so quit your bitchin
I would probably be saying the same thing if I had a vizio, by the way no one is bitchin about it, you like vizio? thats great!
Jeeezz some people get offended by the simplest thing.
@elperron2
If my Vizio had not been working great all those years I would have no problem saying they suck, and if it had not been great since day one I would have returned it and bought a Samsung or a Sharp Aquos.
So far Vizio is great value and remains so to this day, must be a for a reason.
Is that 50,00 supposed to be 5,000 or 50,000?

While I do own a Vizio LCD flat panel, I much prefer my Vizio plasma.
I have a VA26L set, and got it for $330 a few months ago. Remarkable value, with remarkable quality. I wish I could have bought a plasma, but LCD was the only option.
i'm glad they sold so much maybe they'll finally effing release the connected tvs i've been saving my pennies for.
3 vizio at my house, no problems ,32",47" my new baby 55"...I have 42" Sony and 47" Samsung also...love my Vizio's...
MW2 look amazing on the 55" ....don't hate the VZ. :)
I have the vf551xvt (55inch LED @ 240Hz), i wanted to wait for the connected model but they delayed shipping it, so I went with this. Its the best TV I've seen in this size. Vizio has good quality products and beats everyone on price too. Highly recommended.
as much as Vizio is a great bang for buck, I wouldn't buy a vizio.
Seems more of a waste of money for what you get. add a few bucks more and can get a better quality picture of a different brand.
Vizio is the Poor man's HDTV, that isn't even good quality nor is it good picture.
so I wouldn't purchase a Vizio unless they offer something that other companies cant at an affordable price such as Mits @ 70-80+ inch HDTV
I have purchased vizio's as gifts, I get nearly 50% off on not newly released models but the previous to the current new lines.
But for my own Personal use, I wouldn't purchase one, I'll just get upset looking at it, My buddies who work for a vizio warehouse all have different brands as well.
Maybe if vizio came out with a 3D HDTV @ 32" , I'd maybe get it for my bathroom to replace the 27" in there
I wouldn't ever purchase a daewoo,kia or hyundai either.
lol
yeah , seeing how you're at 42" lcd
I can tell you can careless about picture quality , black levels , color correction, power output, sound quality based off tv speakers.
obviously vizio's are heaven for you. but then again, you're probably still @ dvd stage and have a hard time telling the difference between upconverted dvd vs a blu-ray.
wanna know why ? cause you're tv suks, if you had something decent you'll notice the differences right away :)
seeing your icon pic of your tv setup, you're probably still in highschool.
got a long way to go buddy
