NPD: HDTV, Blu-ray player sales up sharply over Black Friday
We know most of you steered clear of retail zones that weekend but Black Friday was still big for HD, with NPD sales data revealing sales increases of 15 percent for HDTVs and 53 percent for Blu-ray players. No word on the average prices of Blu-ray players sold, but television prices have dropped so sharply (to an average price of $535) that revenues actually dropped 9 percent from last year. Regretting missing out on a particularly hot Black Friday deal? Your pain runs deep, share it with us.

Well, I picked up an LG BD390 (thanks to Ben's glowing review) at best buy. Open Box... for $209.99. Considering it's selling for $399 I'd say I did pretty well! It's super fast and works with my harmony remote. Peace out PS3!
I bought a BD390 also for a chunk less too. Glad I did. Now I just need the PS3 Harmony adaptor for when my kid doesn't want to get off the games. I can turn it off still myself
Wow, I guess Blu-ray is going to make it! Not too long ago, some were predicting it's demise...sorry guys, I think it is here to stay....
I regret nothing. I got up at a still-early but not ridiculous time of 6:30am (central) and picked up a Sony Blu-ray player and the last copies of 4 different Harry Potter movies, all for my brother's wedding gift. All told, the total should be $160 or maybe just a little more.
