It might have been better if there weren't so many similarities to other racist type movies where the ignorant inferior natives could only be saved by the human/white hero.

As for the film itself, I thought it was brilliant. I'll wait patiently for the proper 3d release. I'm also waiting for affordable polarized projectors, so even then, I may not be able to watch the movie for a couple years. Which is why I've gone 3 times to the theater to see the 3d (and may go one more) because it may well be two years before I can watch it again.

I WILL NOT watch Avatar in 2d. Ever.

3D blu-rays will be compatible with 2D blu ray players, they will have both versions of the move on the disk, the question is will the first release contain the 3D version. I think the earliest announced 3D blu ray is The Christmas Carol.]]>Jan 19th 2010 7:08PM
