I just don't understand the fasination with 3D. Why don't they worry about getting the sat/cable providers to out putting everything in 1080p instead of 720p or 1080i. If you want to see sports in 3D go to a game.
@Proghog Seconding this. 3D at home is a fad, especially for broadcast television. We've still got everyone* compressing the hell out of their signals to an unwatchable mess just to cram more garbage channels in their lineup and we're going to throw this 3D wrench in there? Comcast is going to be looking extra bad in 2010! Oh, but it will be marketed as "1080p HD" and in "3D" so the masses will eat it up. Boooooooo. We should be leaning on cable and satellite to first 2D right before they go diving into this 3D junk.
now my cable bill is going to go up because they will make it mandatory to carry the 3d channel. what do these people think when they can barely push down a 1080i picture with out compressing the crap out of it they will be able to push down 2 1080i pictures at the same time...
They need to start getting there Priorities straight. First they need to get every station converted to 1080p HD, Second Kill all of the SD statiions. Third, they can startup a new service. getting sick of all this half aZzing going on
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.
