Denon's present (& future) receivers are Windows 7 Compatible

This probably isn't going to get you on or off of the Denon bandwagon by itself, but the company has just announced several of its networked receivers are officially compatible with Windows 7. We fell in love with the ease of Play To during our initial review, and the AVR-4310CI, AVR-3310 CI, AVR-990, AVR-4810CI (pictured above) of the 2009 line have run through the necessary testing to add this sticker to the collection of logos featured prominently on the front. If iPod docks are more your style, the ASD-51W and ASD-51N are promised to fit in just as seamlessly, with an additional indication that all of the company's (unnamed) upcoming 2010 models will earn the same designation. I own their last year denon 2310, that thing when dead after 1 week. It won't start. They had nice specs especially video upscale but the remote is awful and the quality is very big question, is made in china too. Kinda pricey consider the quality.
@techlord
You are basing their product quality off of one unit? Granted, it seems most receiver makers have bad batches or models from time to time (I sell them and have seen 1 in 3 returned dead on arrival), but to paint their 'quality as bad' because of your personal experience is a logical fallacy.
I have known people who had Honda's lemoned with less than 10,000 miles on the clock, and people who put 300,000 miles on supposedly unreliable German cars without more than routine maintenance.
How about building Media Center Extenders into some of these AV receivers?
@UnnDunn
ditto
@UnnDunn
Now that really would be the thing that got me "on the bandwagon". I guess with streaming from 7 it's not far off, but give it the MC UI and tuner support.. Then me and Mr. Denon can start talking money.
What are the advantages of a network connected receiver?
Is it simply for firmware upgrades?

@TrueEddie Not sure about this particular brand/model, but I know some that have network connections are able to do internet radio streaming.
Oh they are running windows 7 now? lol.
hope to see more home theater equipment compatible with 7, play to is a nice feature
i don't understand what the network connection is for? run an audio cable to the receiver and you get the same thing
does 3810, becomes 4310?
