VOD and Amazon on tvs is a failure in my book. I gotta admit....it has been really nice not having a monthly fee and yet still be able to use a "Guide" with recording capabilities etc.<br><br>At first I thought to myself "Why did they stop selling such a great product?" and then I realized, "Oh yeah, no one gets a monthly fee from me with this product."  With Allio coming out with their TV with built in DVR, I was hoping more companies would step up to the plate.  Sad to see this Insignia doesn't have a DVR. If it's just a Netflix / Amazon Video portal, then it's just one of many.  I suppose it's always better to have it integrated than in a separate box, but nothing I would pay any extra for. That would make sense, as the hard drive is the most likely part to break in a DVR, so making it external makes it easily replaceable.
