Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
TiVo: Ditch the subscription fee, watch hardware sales go thru the roof. As long as you want us to pay another monthly bill, customers will stay away. Especially when that monthly bill looks an awful lot like the 'rental' fee for a craptacular Comcast DVR.
We all know TiVo is better, which is why we're willing to pay $500 or more for it. We are NOT willing to pay a huge monthly fee *per device* for a couple of megs of data per month.
