So maybe you're like
our friend Jimmy and want to check out some World Cup action in 3D, but don't know where to go to see it. Luckily
Cinedigm is adding to its list of sports broadcasts by bringing the World Cup final to a few moviehouses in 3D. Check out the official site for the current list of locations, although there are far fewer than we've seen available for events like the
NCAA Final Four and
BCS National Championship game. Maybe if the US team moves on we'll see that number improve but if all you want to do is slip on some 3D specs and catch some football international-style, we'd get a ticket now.
mostly east coast.. why amc or regal 2 big franchise not bring something like this?
What a complete waste of a theatre screen
USA! USA! USA!!!!
Well with USA gone many people will suddenly lose interest. But as a Germany fan I will keep my hopes up and if they decide to do this in Portland, Oregon. I will go.
@maythetechbewithyou
Na dude... Most of us have back up teams to root for. Go Germany :D
Omg, why 3D >_> And goooo England XD
wonder what the price will be.
if it is reasonable, i will definitely be there.
Hopefully England makes it to at least the finals so i can wear my soon-to-be-bought Gerrard Liverpool jersey.
But lol, it may not happen. i know Argentina has the best chance out of all the teams out there.
Yeah, USA is out. sucks huh?
@cRodz42
That is okay, u.s. got the fair spot, afterall they play pretty old style football, their forward and defender is terrible.
Wow, now you can experience the boring of a 1 - 0 game, missing kicks on a goal the size of a house and crazy fans who blow an annoying horn in the spectacle of 3D, with digital surround sound.
Ick, no thanks. Will probably be $20 a ticket too.
Just remember, soccer is for women and children. Football is a game for a man. A large man, who is usually over 6'5.
I'm a big footbal fan and I have to say this years world cup has blown me away with it's over head camera technology. Watching the premier league you get use to either film from left to right or behind the goal.
This years world cup however has taken things furthur with overhead zooming shots from the back of the pitch to the front. How are they doing this?
Have they got cameras moving along on wires?
@RealdudePRO
Yeah. Just like American Football. Their Called Skycams.

@El Barto nice one, thanks for the info. I wish the BBC would do a mini docu about it. Definatly adds another type of dynamism to the game.
Now for goaline technology. Sensors in footballs
