Engadget HD Podcast 200 - 06.29.2010

Yes, that is right sir, we have recorded our 200th episode. It's been a long road, four years since our first show and while only one host has made it through every episode -- but one that is -- we've had a number of great hosts and guests along the way. In fact we've had more guests than we can count and four hosts that have passed the baton, so we figured we'd take a stroll down memory lane with a few like Kevin Tofel who was one of the first hosts, and Ryan Block who was instrumental behind the scenes and even made it on a few shows. Of course we couldn't do a proper number 200 without Steven Kim, co-host of over 100 shows. Last but not least, we looked forward to the next 200 with the one and only Joshua Topolsky. So while we didn't talk about any current HD news (that episode will come later this week) each of the guests had plenty to say about the show and HD in general -- almost 2 hours worth in fact. It has been a fun trip and we hope you continue to enjoy it with us. Thanks to every one of you who has been a part of the ride.

Congrats on 199 shows Ben. The one thing I think it could have used was a link dump to all the articles in the past that were talked about (i.e. the home theater give-away)

Hey - congrats on 200. Seems like just yesterday I was listening to one of the guys who left talk about going to Circuit City to buy a Toshiba HD-DVD player when they came out. (Didn't hear all 200, but listened right at the start of the Red/Blue wars. Show has always been something to look forward to. Thanks for taking the time to do it (for all the hosts who took part).

Congratulations on the 200th Show!!!  I was listening to the show when I remembered that I had one saved on my desktop.  HDbeat Podcast 20, July 4th 2006.  I saved it because you (my HD heroes) read my comment on the show.  It was exciting even thought you prefaced it with “an all time low in comments.”  Anyways, keep up the great work and Josh is great guest but Nilay is the M0\#3r F*#K)@g BOMB!!

Nice way to celebrate your 200th show guys, congratulations. Great to hear from Steven Kim again. Something really magical happens when Ben and Josh interact, you guys truly are the intersection between technology and liberal arts.

I'm always in awe of Ryan Block's ability to use acronyms instead of RW to add clarity.
