It just works. That's all I care about.

hooray for trademark violations!

Pyxis is the name(brand?) of a medical vending machine for hospitals, where frequently-used and disposable devices can be accounted for.
12. Fossil Wrist PDA

Why? Well several reasons. First, my trusty Timex just kicked the can, and I just can't find a nice digital watch out there anymore (I can't stand the sound of an analog watch when I'm trying to sleep. Plus, I'm going to college and need a trusty, always-ready companion to remind me when to wake the heck up, along for when I forget to take my cellphone places.
Hey, I remember when Airbus did a demo of this tech back in the day. A pilot was coming in for a landing at an air show and the onboard computer said that he was being a silly idiot and locked up the controls, doing what it thought best. The plane flew into a forest and had a nice fire break out.

I still trust an experienced pilot more than a computer these days.
It's easy for an affiliate to switch to HD, as they only have to replace a bit of equipment and a few backhauls. CNN would have to have ALL their affiliates/satlinks/cameras switch to HD, not easy when you're worldwide. Yes, NBC has switched, but they've got a smaller news division, and hey, they're not HD. You can get away with HD when you've got huge studio cams, and things dont have to be done in real-time. News on the other hand, is a completely different process.

Personally, I want to start an internet HDTV news station. Easiest/cheapest way to do it.

13: 1000 is just the channel you tune to if you have a DVR.
12: My uncle has the HD-DVR. Its worse than my regular box.

BTW, i'm never going to use this, simply because of the fact that all of cablevisions equipment is utter crap. If I have to reboot my digital cable box, it literally takes 5 minutes. If you mash the wrong button, you can get to the guide, which can sometimes choke the box forcing a restart. The channel-changing lag is horrid beyond belief. I can't wait for the HD Tivo so I can just cablecard my way around channels.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
