Since I invested in a 1080p TV, I guess that would make me a "demanding consumer"
:)

Pfft 1080i, where are the HD DVD players for $99 that play 1080p? That would get me interested and willing to line up in the cold canadian winter for.

I personally find it funny, that even though HD-DVD's players are cheaper they still have only sold BARELY more than the blurau player's...

Let's see some numbers here...

HD-DVD 750,000 Players sold(including the xbox360 addon)

Blu-Ray 700,000 Players sold(all standalone)..

add in 40% of ps3 owners and blu-ray is leading by a landslide!

Start of the movie when they kick the messengers into the pit, oh YEA!

:)
Uhh.. that was boring... no news on price drop, or key ps3 exclusives coming to the box
(MGS4, FF13). I am truly disappointed!

The Future Shop here in Waterloo, Ontario last week increased the shelf space to 8 feet for Blu Ray and kept HD-DVD at 4 feet. Looks like retailers are taking notice of the faster moving format and dedicating more shelf space to it.

I don't think that'll matter at all for HD-DVD, since Microsoft decided not to put a HD-DVD drive in every console, if they did I would agree.
Uh Mike, not necessarily. Blu-Ray has been consistently outselling HD-DVD week by week since the beginning of the year, yet Universal hasn't yet released one Blu-Ray title.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
