For some reason - at first pass - I thought the headline was breaking news about Hyundai's new steam powered car.

I was very excited by that.

The reality is much less interesting.
Yea, Comcast pulled that same "it's the xth most expensive channel we have" argument when negotiating over the Big Ten Network. The big blunder was when they admitted that ESPN was in fact their single most expensive channel and yet somehow they didn't put *that* in the sports tier. Oops.

The R8 video is certainly louder, but it isn't better.

You must not have watched the Lionel video all the way through.
Did you see his speed in the mid-section?

Not to mention the nearly dropping the wheel off 4/5ths through.
And the end is a classic!
So what the heck does 'out' mean in this context?

Press release, released to manufacturing, released to dealers - what?

I swear EngadgetHD seems like it's written by 15 year olds at a World of Warcraft convention.

Where do adults go to get HD related information anymore?
You kids spend WAAAY too much time playing video games. Or is that your major at University of Phoenix?

Now let the adults go back to discussing big boy terms like 'bankruptcy' and 'stick it to future generations'...

kthxbye
Uh, you need to fix your headline.

They haven't banned testing, only testing at tracks where they race during the season.

They're free to test at any track that doesn't host major NASCAR events. But anything else is fair game.
"That's a pretty harsh punishment on the American people because you prefer the cars made by foreign companies."

Hmm. Interesting personal attack. Must mean I'm making sense but you don't have any counter argument other than to wave the flag. I guess I win then.

But seriously, I'm not punishing anybody. Inept American management is doing it. Making contracts they couldn't keep. Not saving cash when they were raking in the dough during the SUV boom. Western style corporate management sucks. Chasing quarterly numbers instead of focusing on long term sustainable growth. Now it's biting them (and the workers) in the butt.

Seriously, read up more on the history of the British car industry. How 'nationalistic' they became. The union battles. The government constantly injecting money. Guess what happened?
"Why? I said before: For the sake of the thousands of companys and millions of jobs that the industry supports."

But - by definition - it doesn't *support* them. The whole thing is unsustainable. That's why they spun off the part suppliers (most of which are already in bankruptcy) to try to stave off the inevitable. Their legacy costs are too high and can't sell enough product with enough profit to make it work.

Bailouts keep the lights on for a few months. It doesn't change the fundamental equation.

Just ask the British.
I think it's weird that you waste your time in a Mustang post talking about GM and the Corvette.

Funny stuff!
Yea, they got a 100 years of profits. It's a car company, not a freakin' cult.

We get 100 years of empty plants, poisoned groundwater, brownfields and a $50 billion dollar bailout.

No thanks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
