You may not have noticed any difference in coverage area, or found that some coincide (no tower whatsoever = no gsm nor cdma), but, in rural areas / states the MiFi gets DSL speeds where GSM is non-existent. Even with 1 or 2 bars on my CDMA phone, the MiFi will lock on

Gripes:
- $100 with 2 year plan
- Plan should cost less ... $63/mo
- Could use tiny LCD display or LEDs for connection status & battery ... If no display, provide connectivity LEDs akin bars on cellphone so you can position the thing better (without being tethered) - battery life light independent of the on / off switch
- sometimes on / off switch doesn't seem to work
- can't turn it off while charging
No blind spot convex mirrors, people. No electronics. Just plain and simple a mirror that costs just fractionally more to make.

And I agree, most people do not use turn signals to change lanes. If you do use them, other drivers feel obliged that they have to 'close the gap' on you.

I agree. Driver attitude, training and testing needs to change in the US. Let's get it up to German level and we'll enjoy safer interstate highways that we can travel faster on :)
Super! Go SEAT!
Our minivan is the most versatile vehicle one can own.

Amidst the starting craze for SUVs, I bought a minivan. One had to be crazy to pay the same $ or more, for a fraction of the versatility, lower fuel economy, lesser comfort, ...

Travel in comfort with 4 - 7 passengers and plenty of cargo space.

No fuss with big items. I've seen plenty SUVs - up to the 'majestic' HUMMER - incapable of loading that new big screen TV at store X, that little trampoline for the kids doesn't fit (and they couldn't reach the roof - haha), a chair, a large plant ...
I show up at store x and even the lumberyard. 4x8 sheets of material. No problem. 10 foot lumber/pipes/... No problem.

Fuel economy is better than SUVs. Not as great as some gas sipping sedans, but there are US sedans that have the same numbers. Without the comfort and space versatility.

No problem to tow an average compact trailer or small boat.

While a minivan is not for everybody, everybody is impressed by the versatility of our van when they're driving along on a trip and/or ride along to pick up that new front door for their house ;)

A the lumberyard or DIY big box stores I frequently get big eyes from new people loading. "You don't have a truck?" Nope. I have 4 cubic yards of cargo ... and I don't even need to leave the tailgate open like most trucks to haul a bit of drywall or lumber. "I didn't know you could do that, that it would fit just like that ..."
We have cancelled our HD service due to over compression / poor image quality in the few HD channels available to us and their HD broadcasts.

HDNET was super. The rest was generally up-sampled and looked worse than SD. I will not pay a premium price for mediocre quality. When I returned the box to Adelphia / Time Warner, the lady behind the counter said "Well I have HD and I don't see anything wrong with my image". Right. On her standard TV ... Talked to a local executive of the ABC affiliate and he understood the issued, but said the signal was based on whatever ABC headquarters decided and made available to them, that they were not the source of the programming, nor the cable company. Which is true.

Too bad. I really like HD. Maybe in a few years I'll be back on HD when channels start to decide it is important to have a crisp image that doesn't have to catch up with itself (artifacts, ...) .
Oh my ... oh my ... where do I even begin?

I've driven more French cars than anybody who'll respond here :) (given the US audience) and it's Belgian Fries!!! Not French Fries. For Pete's sake!

French cars are OK, better than Italian. US cars are kinda like French & Italian. Some temperament here and there but not great. German & Japanese are the best. More engineering and better value. There.
Considering MBUSA does not import base C-class models, there is plenty of room for the A & B series. Provided they're not priced out of the market. They are totally different vehicles than the sedan. Some people wouldn't drive their hatch or their mini-van, but I would.

It's time MBUSA imports more models and reflects MB more. Grow some market share in the US. Most MB sold in Europe do not have the big engines and all the amenities they bring to the US. There is no reason why MBUSA can't & shouldn't bring some of the smaller engines over, which traverse the autobahn & Europe just fine. Let's cut back a little on fuel consumption & fuel cost with more economic engines.

That is a truly sad crash story, as the Seat Toledo was a very decent and safe vehicle. Another example (isn't there one with a copy of the Opel Astra?) of how they purchased/copied the original design, but used materials only strong enough to keep them together in a rain storm.
How about the C2xx models? Like a C200 C230 or C200CDI?
I concur.

WMV is not a global format. It is MS proprietary and causes viewing issues. Recent WMV videos require the very latest codecs (normal) - but - Microsoft quit supporting the mac platform several years ago, for instance. Now there is a free version of a WMV plugin for QT, but it is a hit or miss. Usually you can't play WMV in browser (Safari/Firefox/...)

So, as it should be, when viewers experience problems, they should complain to the site owner for a more compatible video format and/or an alternative version.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
