Oh yes, I'll be place shifting my HD Video to the bathroom. And yes, it is remote; especially when I get the X10 flush module so my Harmony remote can work the can.
According to the link, it sounds like it will capture video, which I would think is why it needs a pcie slot. I'm sure HDCP will smash our hopes and dreams to the ground though.
I miss you more then Michael Bay missed the mark When he made Pearl Harbor I miss you more than that movie missed the point And that’s an awful lot girl And now, now you’ve gone away And all I’m trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you
I need u like Ben Affleck needs acting school He was terrible in that film I need u like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part He’s way better than Ben Affleck And now all I can think about is your smile and that shitty movie too Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you
Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies? I guess Pearl Harbor sucked Just a little bit more than I miss you
I can't vouche for this, as I don't see the rainbow effect, but I've read that only happens in single wheel dlp configs, which makes sense if you think about how the color wheel works. By the name and price, I'd assume it was a 3 wheeler.
While I'm a fan of the bang for your buck you get with DLP; for that price, I'd rather have a Marquee 9500LC. Or pocket the money and continue using my 8500. I have yet to see a 1080p projector in any consumer shop that tops my middle of the line 8500.
As much as I'd like to jump in the fray of "they're dropping ______ format", has anyone considered that maybe the cost of a BR/HD-DVD combo will cost too much. Look at the HD-DVD/DVD combos. They cost 5 bucks more. Considering how cheap DVDs cost, why would you pay 5 more dollars when you can buy the DVD cheap, wait for the winner and upgrade later, which in the long run, will probably cost less.
Only videophiles care about this war. To everyone else, it's a disc that costs too much money for the improved picture.
Specs have nothing to do with the number of layers.
Layers are read by setting the laser to a different temperature. If the temperature required is between the hotest and lowest temp the laser is acapable of, a firmware update is the onlything needed, if they didn't already plan this since it has probably been in the works. Old players can play it, current specs are met. I'd doubt the DVD forum to approve it if all players couldn't play them with or without a firmware update. This is "probably" true for the fabled quad layer BR disk. I say fabled, because, until I see it used in production, it is not worth bragging about, like this.
This disc sounds great on paper, but will it ever be used is the question? No one, other then BR supporters have claimed 30 gigs are not enough. If 2 dual layers cost twice as much as 1 triple, will they use it? Price may come down, and I am just speculating the price; and they may use them, but until I buy a disc that does, it's meaningless.
Come on now, they don't compare apples to apples. Look at the attach rate, which includes the PS3.
Hmmmm, maybe they did that because it shows the PS3 isn't being used to watch movies, since most people who can't spell 1080p, let alone know what it means are unable to deduce that from the 2 to 1 sales ratio.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
