I hear ya. I just sold my lcd televisions to my brother and dad. Picked up a panasonic plasma to watch my obsolete format in stunning hd. My plasma blows away my previous lcd tvs by a long shot.
You haters sound like the idiots that run this country. "Please keep teaching me how to plow a field." Maybe when you move out of your parents basement, you'll realize that any way schools can utilize students and technology, they should do it. Instead of making cell phones illegal, schools are pushing towards integrating them into the classroom, and preparing them for the real world. To the tool that said, bible thumpers, at least spell correctly when you criticize a school for being proactive.
give us the ability to purchase and own hd movies. i know all the problems, but i'm not buying another hd movie player.
what's the game attach rate? closer to zero than a good number.
I went ahead when the warner announcement happened and bought an apple tv. I realize there is a small loss, but I also know that when I had a ps3, it collected dust like nobody's business. I have my hd dvd player, where I will continue to support paramount/universal, and an apple tv, where I will rent/borrow other companies movies and rip them to it.
At least Vegas has professionals to spend your money on.
Help me Jeebus
You might as well buy one then, not because Metal Gear will get a 9/10, but because Sony has been paying off sites with advertisement dollars to hype them on games. MG will be the greatest game of all time when it's released, then a month later, no ps3 fan will be playing it.
M-E-T-H-O-D MAN. All I know is, blu ray definitely isn't trying very hard to get me to convert. In fact, if they don't announce some major titles soon, I'm going to wait until players are 100 bucks.
I did this last night. Had it on my iphone within a minute or two. I also tried ripping a movie using mactheripper, and it didn't turn out right. I'm hoping more studios go this route, because my dream is to not buy another ps3(sold first) so I can watch blu ray movies.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
