I would love that. AT&T delivers excellent service. Well, they are excellent at disconnecting my calls a lot. When I was with Verizon, I would be able to drive to work and the call would drop out at 1 predictable spot. Now with ATT, that same drive to work is filled with 5-8 call drops, in random places. Neat! the iPhone is crippled with AT&T behind it. So very crippled. The EVDO service on my winmo phone ran at least 2x the speed of the 3g junk that's on AT&T. Oh, that's if I can get it at all. 3g is so high quality that I get even more dropped calls if I switch to that. Ungh. Suck it AT&T!!!!!!!
Last disc I burned was Bad Taste, which is Peter Jackson's master opus about a race of aliens invading Earth. There are amazing sequences of brain smashing, vomit drinking, and even some exciting sheep explosions! That movie is genius I tell you.

This disk would get used as a fantastic backup and media transport between by machines so I can put movies on the Mac based Boxee media center.
My wife could seriously use this. She does poetry and music and there are little scribbles all over the house with various musings on it. Then of course she wants to take one of her creations to full fruition and she can't find the specific scribble.
I mean she writes on envelopes, bills, catalogs, invoices, torn scraps of paper. Anything she can find. It's a shame to see her lose her work so it would be great to get her this.
so what's a good quicken alternative that will read all the data files and be able to link with banks for sending checks out and getting data, etc. ?
yep, i am new-ish to mac and i don't know all the ropes yet. thanks for any info!
one of my neighbors has a very high end setup and when he plays a cd versus a record, the record blows the cd out of the water for quality. the sound is so much better. i never thought i would be able to hear it but i can. it's not just me either...non techie nerds have sat in front of that thing and have been blown away by the quality of his setup.
i want to make a few apps for the phone so i can take it on set and deal with notes for shoots for films, etc. it would also be killer to have shot sheets for total set organization. oh, and impressing the young assistants would be nice too :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
