Agree with ya on "The Proposal", the wife and I watched it (not really expecting much at all) and ended up enjoying it a bunch.
They're getting _too_ popular. :-)

I used to be able to walk up at any time and get a new release. At this point, forget stopping by after work; online reservations are the way to go. Although it's still a hassle to wait while someone is browsing the screens over and over and over...

On the other hand though, I'm seeing more of the larger retail locations put in a second box.
Love the Redbox! My Netflix queue is pretty long, so I can use the free rental codes they send out on Monday to keep up to date with recent releases.
I had some pretty bad heat issues with an internal 1.5TB installed. I ended up replacing the lid for one with a cutout for a case fan. After that, no more random lockups.
Looks almost exactly like the Mimo series from http://www.thegadgeteers.com
I agree, Redbox is fantastic.

I like that you can check out your local redbox out online and reserve a DVD before you go to the store. Another nice feature is that they send out free DVD codes on Mondays, so you get a free rental once a week.

I do use Netflix too, but my queue is so large now that I can grab the latest hit on redbox without having to wait for it to work its way through my NetFlix queue.
Streaming from sling.com doesn't work, but Netflix streaming works great (finally found a use for F11 in IE). I have a movie running in the Mimo, while everything else is running well on the other 2 screens. In fullscreen detects Mimo screen size just fine. Hulu works great too, but the full screen isn't detected correctly.

I was wondering how the video would stream, but no issues there.
Just got mine set up and so far so good on a WinXP Pro system as the 3rd monitor.

Only thing I have seen a problem with so far is the Sling player. Each time I try to run the Sling player with video enabled, there are problems which require shutting down the player with the task manager. Windows Media Player works well...

Right now, I have it sitting on a web page where I have some web app statuses running and it's nice to see that stuff out there without having to flip to it.

Why this instead of a 3rd 21" monitor? Well... the video card has no more free connections, my desk has no more room, and I was intrigued by the concept of a dedicated monitor, versus alt-tabbing.

It'd be nice if it could sense the rotated position, but the system tray app they provide works well.
I'd have to lick that shiny, shiny glass!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
