Like many iPod Touch owners, I was looking forward to upgrading today to a version with a camera, GPS and digital compass. For this I was expecting to pay about $300. Now I am left in a state of confusion. Should I spend $300 now just to get the faster processor and graphics? Could a new version of the iPod Touch be announced at the same time as the iPads? I am looking forward to seeing the tear down of the 32 or 64MB iPod Touch to see if it has a spot for a digital camera or a GPS chip.
I feel that if they are going to charge us extra for Blue Ray, they should be able to stock more current release Blue Ray movies. I felt ripped off when the number of very long wait Blue Ray movies INCREASED after the subscription cost increase. NetFlix needs to explain what we got for our extra $1 per month other than a sore spot where the sun don't shine.
I was hoping to see shorter wait times once the Blue Ray fee was implemented. Instead, the wait times seem to have gotten worse! NetFlix should not have implemented an extra fee if they did not plan to do something about the wait times for current release Blue Ray movies. This problem is not unique to Blue Ray movies however. Even before Blue Ray, the recent releases of popular movies always had a very long wait.

What I want to know is this: How can Blockbuster guarantee availability of recent releases while NetFlix guarantees very long waits?
10%? I can double the performance of NetFlix's recommendations and I will do it for free.

It's simple: Allow secondary accounts to access the NetFlix video on demand service. Currently secondary accounts have to log onto the primary account to watch video on demand. This means that the viewing preferences of the entire family get moshed together into one big mess. My wife now keeps getting recommendations for animaes which she hates because that's what I like to watch. NetFlix does not even keep the on demand preferences separate from the DVD by mail service so the whole thing is a huge mess.

Remember when NetFlix was going to get rid of secondary accounts entirely and it was rightly pointed out that this would make a total joke out of their precious movie recomendations? The same is has been happening with their video on demand service since it was first introduced.
Good luck enforcing whatever the New York court decides in California. There are laws that say that you cannot own a person even if you are IBM. Here in California we may be bankrupt, but at least we are free.
After posting that last message, I turned on my iPod touch, watched as it downloaded the mail in about 5 seconds, clicked on the message from engadget.com and then clicked on the embedded link to activate the message. Now there is something I would love to do on my Zune! I liked doing it so much, I think I will do it again...
Support my favorite iPod Touch feature: Access to an app store where I can download thousands of free or cheap third party programs over WiFi. I just downloaded Google Earth for my iPod. Let's see my Zune do that!
Yes please. I could use both of those.
At $40 per Blue Ray disc, that's $16,000 to fill up this changer. Are you kidding me? If you buy that many Blue Rays, Sony should just give you a changer for free.
I love the sample pictures on these phones. They are always showing locations where it would be absolutely impossible to get a digital cell signal. This one takes the cake. They may as well show a picture of the Mars rovers.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
