I'm all for this, but it will just go into disuse if the train fares continue to be costlier than flying. I would first work on getting train fares cheaper so that more people would be enticed to take a train.
The Mets are the ones with a $200+million payroll who then came crawling to the city for more money to spend on their $1 billion stadium!
How about actually giving us clear reception for HD channels first? I had to watch 24 on SD last night because the signal was all eff-ed up! If I had any other options I would switch in a second. I could give one's rat ass about their On-Demand service!
Since we can't talk about wins and losses yet, and are solely looking at character issues, I don't think any Bama fan should be talking considering how Saban left the Dolphins. As a person, Saban is a liar and I would much rather have Kiffin than a guy who has been documented as lying on more than one occasion!
I'm a Mets fan and live in the DC area, so this great news for me! I'll be able to watch them with higher res and cheaper price. Any excuse to avoid giving more money to Com-crap is what I'm looking for!
I agree that Holmes catch was a great catch, but the overall situation I think predisposes Tyree's catch to be better in that the Giants were down by 4 points, and only a TD would have helped them. Also, the Steelers were inside the 10, whereas the Giants were not even at mid-field when Tyree made the catch. If Holmes doesn't make the catch, they kick an extremely short field goal (essentially an extra point), and go into overtime. Tyree doesn't make that catch, most likely the game is over.
I think that, like the NY Mets, the Giants have this glaring need, and they will (hopefully) go after a player like Boldin, after the Burress disaster.
You're surprised? Comcrap will be the last service to get it. They mislead the public about the amount of HD (who cares about total content when more than half of it is PPV or VOD??!), and have crappy service and boxes (Comcast's UI looks like something that was slapped together 10 years ago while FIOS' looks more sleek and give you more capabilities!).
I used to love watching Leo Laporte when he was on Tech TV and the articles he had on techtv.com. The worst thing that happened was Tech TV being merged with G4, and them slowly getting rid of all the tech programs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
