My apologies on the tunder comments. I thought Freeview was IP based. I went to their website to get educated.
This should be possible via a firmware update. It is a tuner for IPTV, not requiring a cable card or coax connection.

Are your calculations based on MPEG2 or MPEG4? To my knowledge MPEG4 requires quite a bit less disk space than MPEG2.

Also, why would anyone be bitching about something FREE!
