I guess I understand the annoying question that the blockbuster employee asks me before everytime I check out a BR disc.....

"Um sir, do you have a PS3 or BR player?"
I was in a local blockbuster standing next to another couple that were also browsing the Blu-Ray collection. Then, the wife said to the husband, "don't we need a special player to play these discs." The husband said confidently, "no, it should play on our DVD player."

I overheard this and was dumbstruck. How could people be this misinformed? I calmly butted in and told them they needed a blu-ray player to play these discs. The husband gave me a snarky look and I still don't think he believed me.

Can anyone confirm ABC and CBS will be getting the HD feed? I haven't seen anything spelled out to say otherwise? I can see the NFL Network keeping the HD to themselves.
I agree. By the time 7pm comes along, Engadget is far from my list of priorities. If this list was provided earlier in the day, while most of us are in front of a computer all day, it would be much more advantageous. I seem to always be reminded the "day after" what I missed the night before. I can't believe I missed Rudolph in HD! Damn!
And what's with the "Lookout" photo? That was last week!
Any word of when this will be available to the public?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
