Why is EVERYONE against Sony??
I'd do this if I was sony too. Has nothing to do with blu ray. How does MS paying publishers to take the playstation franchises not petty but this is? That's normal capitalist competition and so is this. sony can do what they want. Only the fanboys will notice and harbor hard feelings toward sony, oh wait, that's already happened...nevermind, probably won't hurt sony at all to affect xbox movie rentals..
Isn't Snow Leopard going to be almost re-built to support multiple threads and processors? Given Apple just released multiple GPU notebooks, I'd bet heavily that they will support such a feature in the next OS X.

Wouldn't that be ironic if Apple had a better gaming OS than Windows? for hardware/drivers at least...never have as many games tho.. :(
They added all these same channels to Las Vegas this and next month also. No SDV here yet, all those fiber optic lines they say they have must be working well. My TiVo is happy. :-)
Wow, didn't know this was a review site for movies. Guess those of us that enjoyed all 3 should be good lemmings and listen to everybody else and not buy this since it's so popular and cool to bash them.
Still rocking a Sammy 46" 71 series from last year. Once calibrated LCD tech can be just as good as plasma in my opinion, just depends what you're really in to. If you want the best blacks, get a plasma, if you want rich bright colors, get an LCD. I do agree with the Auto Motion Plus complaint. I have mine permanently in "Game Mode" to keep 120Hz off and locked into 60Hz.
Isn't HD-DVD much more like betamax than blu-ray is Mr. genius?
Kinda cheesy isn't it?
Don't we have Embarq here in Vegas? I think that's a spinoff of sprint that used to be here. Either way it seems unlikely AT&T would make it here anytime soon. I probably wouldn't switch from Cox either, I get their triple play now and have had no problems, as long as they keep adding HD channels without going to switched digital I'm cool.
This may be a silly question, but I have a PS3 and a Yamaha V1600, so the only thing it doesn't have is 1080p and I just got a Samsung 4671, so I have to bypass the receiver to get 1080p to the TV, otherwise it'd be 1080i. But by doing that, I lose the ability to get 7ch audio from the PS3 by using Toslink. I really don't want to have to ebay my receiver just to keep 1080p and get 7ch PCM. Is there anything I can do? HDMI can't split audio to one device and video to another can it?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
