Profile 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 will not become out of date. Ppl who want pip and ethernet jack will buy 1.0 or 2.0.

They will still sell 1.0 players for those who don't want the other profile players.

Since blu-ray has a standard now what is your selling points??????

All profile 1.1 players are firmware upgradable to 2.0 since they include the ethernet jack.

I get a great picture on my 6yr old 50in project screen tv while watching nascar and the baseball game.

This is a WAR not a play date. Both want to win.. losing is not an option so, if that means Buying studio support, buy on get one free, or fire sells then so be it.

The funny part is that the HD-DVD guys talk specs, region free and how much better HD-DVD is. Please tell me WHY hasn't HD-DVD kicked BD butt.

HD-DVD has finish specs

HD-DVD has region free

HD-DVD has been cheaper the whole time.

With all this HD-DVD can't even win a single week of sofware sales.
