You don't NEED a pet either do you? So, no reason to complain.

Yes, if you have someone install the Authenticator app on an iphone or ipod touch you could then tie it to your account, login, see if you get the pet. You can go back into your account later (with the authenticator) and remove it.

Do NOT let them delete the app until you have fully removed it from your account and logged into the game without it.

I have 3 accounts, some old some new so I just did testing.

1. Is it not related to the age of the character. My 4yr one got it as did my 2 month old one.
2. I DO have an authenticator tied to my b-net account
3. You WILL get it on multiple toons on the same account
4. It doesn't appear to be tied to the collector's edition.


In summary, as others mentioned, it seems to be tied to having an authenticator.

I believe going through the entire chain unlocks the heroic version of each. I don't think you have to do the quest chain twice.
