Um, while I agree with you that having Apple forcing me to install only what they say I can does blow and while it is a good business model, it is a horrible "geek" model, which is what we all are.

However, saying it is not the developer's fault for exploiting a security hole is probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

Go ahead, find a security hole in an ATM and steal all the money. Use the defense that it isn't your fault, please.. try it.
@johnmc
I don't follow. AT&T doesn't exist outside of the USA either. Both Verizon and AT&T roam on other providers. They have the same exact network overseas. The difference is all of AT&T's devices work, while you need a Verizon global device. But it's about coverage, not devices in this case.
@DeFlanko
What do you mean? Isn't NBC like the lowest rated network while CBS is one of the top ones?

Other then Sunday Night Football, there ain't jack on NBC. I hope the buy it and shut it down. :-)
Why would there be a lawsuit? Android isn't like Microsoft Windows where it has a 90%+ marketshare where they get into that kind of trouble.

That's why the Apple desktop OS doesn't get sued for all the stuff it includes. Their market share is so tiny it doesn't matter.

Or am I wrong in thinking that way?
The Imagio has FM radio enabled, as did the Omnia II demo I used. Cant remember if the TP2 does or not.
Duh, what rock have you been living under? Verizon doesn't modify GUI for smartphones. Troll.
@Banksta3

Dude, for most people, that is a failed comparison, plus a bonus racist comment.. "jewish" really?

I don't know anybody who needs unlimited voice. It's a waste of money.
@Cash,
If Minorities outnumber white people 4 - 1, can you still call them minorities?
Hold your wee for a wii is a pretty cool name for a contest..

Not as good as 'Put your D in a V' Somebody needs to do that!
All the articles about the nav function says it caches your route so you shouldn't lose anything. Talking on the phone is no different then going through a tunnel and losing your entire cell signal. (Or being on AT&T and not having a signal to begin with..hehe)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for the best geotagging camera currently available. The most important feature for me is the accuracy of the GPS module, so any hard specs on satellite receiver would be really useful. Thanks for your time!"
