I own 2 HD-DVD players the xbox 360 add on and a $99 H2. I'm out a total of $300 if they stop making movies for this thing. Thats about the same I would be out if I bought an incomplete Blu - Ray player so Im not that upset.

I have almost 300 DVD's so I have a good upscaler now and I can still watch my 15 HD-DVDs.

Once they have complete specs I will probally lay down the money for a Blu-Ray player which already has a ton of movies I would like to see. I will not buy the PS3 because of the audio codecs and the fact that I dont like any of the games for it over my 360 games.

Not great news but not the worst.
My S2 sees my TiVo HD and I can transfer both ways. Not sure if it matters but my S2 is only a couple of months old.

The speed between the two is very fast. The TiVo HD is wired and my S2 is wireless when doing a transfer I can start watching instantly. By the time I get to the first comercial I can fast forward with no lag or buffer problems. Its like watching it on the orginal machine.
"the majority of people who bought this don't even know it can play HD-DVDs"

Where is that from. I got the player and I was first in a line of about 15-20 all of us were talking about HD. Every one in the line knew the player was HD-DVD. The line was very different from the laptop line in which our line was all male 25-50 years old and the other line was women 35-60 years old. In fact most of us in the A2 line never even shop at walmart and had no idea where to go for the player.
Mine died on July 4. Called on July 6 because it was intermittin. Got the box on July 12 and mailed it on July 13. As of August 2 I still dont have it but I got an email yesterday saying it was sent out. I called XBOX and they said they replaced it with a new one. Checked with UPS and it is supposed to be here on August 6. That makes on month from phone call to new console.

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
