Black Friday is the most wonderful time of the year!

Well, still waiting to hear what Amazon is going to do on BF. They like to match what the other B & M retailers are doing and last year their deals started at midnight, so you might be alright.

It's going to be $35 at Best Buy on Black Friday... I just started it last night and it is pretty amazing.

Could be a smart move though... 360 people don't have anything like GoW to play and enough PS3 people might be interested enough to try it.

I haven't played Madden 10 (nor Madden 9) so I can't comment on that aspect. The only sports game I play is Fifa which has had a pretty good use of DLC.

However, yes, charging for extra costumes in SF IV at that price was ridiculous (they should have charged less for them at the very least) but I hardly see how that is stripping out features from previous generation games. SF II just had a couple alternate color palettes, not full blown costumes.

Please enlighten us as to what companies are removing from games and selling to ignorant consumers.

If you're talking about cheats, those were never features. I never saw a box that said "OVER 100 CHEATS TO HELP YOU BEAT THE GAME!" Those were just debug options that were left in the game.

If you're talking about extra levels, those would never have come out before, they would have just waited and sold you another game a year or two later. I'd rather pay a small amount for maps than wait for another iteration.

If you're talking about game modes, the most recent madden DLC Ultimate team is supposed to be free. They will make money by selling card packs that users can earn through play or buy if they want to. And even going by Fifa 09 where they charged, I was happy to pay $10 for an entirely new game experience that would normally have been a $50 Spring soccer title.

I hope it's good, but given Dante's i can imagine what the pitch meeting is like:

"alright, so you have this tortured writer who realizes that prostitutes are DEMONS from HELL!!! And so he dons this armor and becomes this badass VIGILANTE to send them back to where they belong. Oh, and the prostitutes kidnapped his HAWT, SEXY girlfriend"

You can make it up to me by sending me the second skin DVD or justin's skin... either will do.
