This is great, now if I could only get an invite. Been waiting a few months. If they could integrate some of the features of GrandCentral like call recording in a visual interface that would be awesome. I expect Google will have an app like that at some point. Fits in with their whole move with Android, just hope iPhone users don't get left out.
"...if a hippie walks it its way, it runs over the hippie."

Ruh roh.
My email has been down since Friday. I have been a subscriber since 2006 (.Mac). I also never received any apology emails from Apple for the transition mess and my account was not credited with any extra time. Now Apple has removed any links to contact them via email on the MobileMe support site. This is the worst customer service mess I have seen from Apple. I feel a chargeback through my credit card company in the future.
I have nothing but praise for the 2.0 update, the App Store and the Apps. I installed 7.7 and the 2.0 firmware earlier today. Tried to set up MobileMe. Thought that was going to be the highlight of the day given I was a big user of .Mac. The 2.0 software on my 1st Gen iPhone made up for that disappointment. See I live in Washington DC and just did a crosstown drive listening to K-Earth 101 (out of Los Angeles) via the AOL Radio app. It played through the iPod link to my car stereo, streaming audio over EDGE across multiple cell towers and didn't skip a beat. Now that is stable.
Man, I really would love to be a fly on the wall at Apples MobileMe/.Mac NOC over the last 24 hours. I am envisioning a bunch of techs sweating it out while the Almighty Steve stands there scowling, and firing people at random.
Did anyone notice the option to sync bookmarks under the Mobileme account setup on the phone. I thought bookmark syncing was toast. To find it, go to add an email account. Pick Mobileme (if you have it) and put your info in. It pops up on the second screen. This is good news.
Why would Apple need Sony since they are a board member of the Blue Ray Disc Association? Probably purely as a drive manufacturer, which they have done in the past. Since Chinese manufacturers haven't been granted licenses yet I can see why this is holding Apple back. As for Microsoft...I think they should hold out for cheaper product than a Sony built drive to get that add-on price down. Honestly, unless they intend to put games on Blue Ray disks to take advantage of the expanded space...I mean, are game developers even to that point yet? Maybe for the next generation systems.
That dock would be a great Valentine for my Macbook.
OOooooo I want one.
I can definitely use a tv. My smelly roommate could use the Old Spice.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
