Is there anything we can do to know if the new Sat is online? Can we go into Sat info under setup and check the new satellite transponder signals

Well DISH Network has launched The History Channel HD today! What happened to Directv's press release in May stating that they would be the first to have that channel available? This is not looking good!
DISH has 39 HD channels now! Have I made a mistake?

Does anyone know when these new HD channels are going to be avaialable? I joined DirecTV only because the promise of them having the most HD content.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.

"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
