I like the idea that he might not be "Michael" at all... but Laurie Strode and Loomis' love child who (in the future) went back in time to try and stop his own miserable existence.
Website is back up... order away!
I set my alarm to wake me up at 2:45am so I could get online and order one. Had exactly the same issues as the person above. Crashed site, slow as a snail... and now "come back later". Sigh... now I can't seem fall back to sleep. Woke myself up for nothing.
Have been trying, for 48 minutes to order one of these things and the Popcorn Hour website keeps erroring out when I try and put one in the shopping cart. Now, just going to the main website homepage takes forever and I get "Page Load Errors". Hrmmm... frustrating. I set my alarm to get up to order one of these things and the website seems to be overloaded.
I was just going to say the same thing... I saw these weeks ago.
Are they restoring it from just an old print, or something else? When I was working on the restoration of Tobe's TCM back in the mid-90s, I went to the UTA film archives on campus and found TONS of b-roll, props, pics and pretty much (it seemed anyway) ALL the shot footage for EGGSHELLS in storage there. I found it scattered in the many boxes of CHAINSAW outtakes I used for TCM supplements.

Negative/trims for EGGSHELLS was there, in the archive, right next to the David Selznick collection of outtakes for GONE WITH THE WIND they had there.

Hope they actually went back to that material for EGGSHELLS instead of mastering an old print. Of course, I knew nothing about this until a few weekends ago when Tobe cancelled his Fangoria Convention appearance because of the SXSW screening. Had I known, I would've told him where all the negative trims, etc. for EGGSHELLS was.
The above comment was actually responding to nohone, sorry! :)
@bboston7 says:

1) "they don't see a cent from streaming to the Xbox" - Link? It is a rental. NetFlix gets paid each time a movie is rented. NetFlix pays out a portion of each rental to the studio. Just like for every song that is played on the radio an amount of money is sent to the artist, when a DVD is rented, money is sent to the studio. There is no difference if it is rented online or a physical disk.

Um... no they don't. They buy the discs in bulk and keep all the money. The only money the studios get is the money received from the discs Netflix purchases. I am the head of a company that supplies many movies to Netflix. They buy our movies at a volume discount and we don't see one cent later.

As far as streaming goes, we USED to get monthly royalties from the movies in their "Watch Now" program, but they changed that. Now we get a "flat fee" for a couple years. Netflix keeps all the money after that. Nice of them to "change" their monthly royalty policy to studios around the same time their customer base exploded with the XBOX app, huh?

After a bit of a quirk getting the firmware to run, I finally got it to work and have had no issues. I loaded on about 11 apps and have had no problems so far, although it DOES seem to take a while to install the apps.

Lost all my movies and music, but I had the playlists saved in iTunes, so I just loaded them back on. Nothing wrong... yet!

All photos and contacts synced back on flawlessly.

Well, I downloaded the firmware and did the fresh install of iTunes 7.7, plugged in the phone and hit the OPTIONS button while "updating" (I'm on a Mac, not a PC) to load up the firmware, but all I get are a bunch of directories with things inside that are all greyed out. I've tried "opening" just about everything in the linked firmware file and haven't been able to get anything to open or work. I even remove the .zip extension, tried to leave it as an archive, etc.... nothing.

Just a "firmware" directory with two folders inside that don't allow me to click on anything. What gives?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
