I'm with Quix. And how after all these years people writing about Apple still don't recognize that the iTunes store as a breakeven/loss leader service to sell hardware instead of a profit center mystifies me.
jeyadev's hit the nail on the head.

iPhone sync/BT functionality with the Mac has been undeveloped/crippled so that it's equivalent to that on Windows.
Use the availability checker at apple.com tonight after 9pm. iPhone 3G is pretty much sold out at Apple stores as well.

The rep at the AT&T store I went to said that if your credit check fails they ask for a deposit. How much the deposit is somehow gets determined by their credit check system.
I'm going to wait till the lines die down because it's going to take forever. I went in just for a credit check. It took 10 minutes. Every new AT&T customer needs one. So, unlike last year, the long lines will not be moving quickly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
