I could be very wrong on this, but I thought Apple was going to allow people to run external gizmos with their iphone? I recall an apple presentation where they had med equipment and the like hooked to it, I believe using the port. Did i dream this? And if not would it be possible to create an external keyboard thing that way?
Am I the only one who thinks they should partner with Boxee and create the perfect device. All the functionality plus a good looking UI and the internet apps Boxee has. I'm sure there is some reason why the haven't or can't but it seems like such a good match to me.
Noob question. Will HTML 5 support gpu video playback? I know that you will be able to embed videos directly onto a site, so does that mean that if your video card supports gpu playback of the codec then it will automatically offload to the gpu?
Could be. Xbox is technically the cheapest console you can buy. Of course I don't think many people would go for one without a hard drive, but the average mom might not know better and instead just be happy that she saved $50
I like music and the equipment used to produce it
The problem isn't Hulu, it's the content providers. They are the ones who demanded that Hulu not work on Boxee, because if people are going to be watching on their tv, then they want them to watch 'traditional' tv where they get most of their money from. Moves like this will only hurt Hulu and Hulu knows it, but I seriously doubt there is much they can do about it.
Mac mini + Nvidia graphics + Boxee = win
The people competing are already aware of how they stack up. There are no surprises as anyone can view how they are doing. Netflix has clearly shown what constitutes improvement and teams can do the math themselves to see their improvement

I don't know how powerful this chipset is but a small and quiet atom based system with enough graphics power to support high def video would make for a sweet htpc.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
