Quote from Porshe911= "Well, I guess PS3 is the perfect system, just a $100 more; you can get a perfect system"

Uh oh, Department of Redundancy Department just arrived on the scene...

what reefer are you smoking, Ethan?

you mean to tell me Resistance looks like that? no dice. it's on the same level as Call of Duty 3, and that game itself isn't anywhere near GOW

look, it's just marketing fluff. Konami advertised metal gear solid 2 as pushing the PS2 to its limits when it came out in 2001. Obviously not the case, as God of War and Shadows of the Colossus are extaordinarly beautiful games for PS2 hardware.

Every developer learns something new further into the life of a system. The PS3 is going to have some terrific looking games because of the processor and the data it'll be able to store on the Blu-Ray. Developers admitted that the 360 is a VERY powerful machine, and that through its ease in programming and powerful hardware that it'll come out with some stunning games as well. Wii might even surprise a few people.

Stay tuned everyone. Even though next-gen started last year in November with the 360, this gen of gaming is still only beginning.
real life Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter?

...where do I sign up?

...sorry, you failed

I can't think of anyone who uses their xbox on their lap, the Xbox wasn't worth thousands of dollars in equipment, and generally it was only an internal problem, not one that spanned different companies and products.

Technically, the power cord fiasco did cost less for MS and wasn't an immediate danger as Sony's batteries are. It was still an obvious oversight on Microsoft's part. That incident does NOT give Sony an excuse to mess up on a gargantuan level as they have right now "just because" MS sorta did too. If it's an electronic that'll be used extremely close to people, or any electronic for that matter, you NEED to make sure it passes the Underwriter's Lab certification and you need to make sure it's a safe system.

P.S Fanboys need to go kill themselves.
Azn_1080p considers buying an Xbox 360...

everyone needs to digg this. Now.
hey you fanboys should get off Paco's case

he's absolutely right about all of that. There is NO reason for a console THAT underpowered to be 250 bucks. Absolutely none. Nintendo won't get away with it this fall though, when your average consumers (you know, the extreme bulk of people who buy consoles, not rabid fanboys who comment at least 4 times a day to sites like these) see both PS3 and 360 kiosks running alongside each other.

Wii could have been in a better position to get a landslide lead over the other two, IF they priced the system accordingly, like at 150 or 175, or basically what the system SHOULD cost. Remember, the prices that Engadget and Didly here posted are what Nintendo is SELLING their Wii lineup for, to the STORES. naturally, their own manufacturing costs are nowhere near this price.

Nintendos own greed will be the death of the Wii this gen. As for me, I personally won't be buying one for a long time, if ever.
lol wii version looks like ghost recon...as in the, the first ghost recon for Xbox 1
PS3 version has disgusting textures and just as bad overall graphics.

360 version looks way too shiny and soft to be the least bit believable, decent particle effects, but the glossy look just kills it all

all versions however, look like they're gonna offer really intense fighting and the new action cutscenes look fun

-my non fanboy-ish take

P.S:
"The PS3 has tossed in an "Oh crap! The Wii might steamroll us! Invent something!" motion senstive melee attack"

thats just bad form, Joystiq. Just say the motion sensitivity was tacked on (because it was) and be done with it. No need to try and implant your agenda on us, just tell the news like it is.

lol Azn you never fail to show how much of an idiot you are

lag can happen to a 5,000 dollar computer or a laptop from 1994. Its not the computer, it's all about the network. If you really expect Sony to have a perfect network backbone for launch you're in for a real rude awakening this november.

i love how you called it the PS3 arcade even though no such thing has been announced by sony at all, only thing close being the PS1 to PSP download service. all your posts are fanboyish turds

GTFO.forever
Well, core gamers have more disposable income

i'd be lying if I said I wasn't spoiled

the 1400 dollar estimate seems close enough to me...most of my clothes are abercrombie and hollister (im 17, figures lol)

i buy about a game or two a month, most of the time for my 360, sometimes for my PS2 (that'll change this fall with the PS3), and I got a black infiniti G35 for my birthday. it's good to hear that people like me keep the VG industry going. i love gaming more than anything so no matter how spoiled i'll always support the developers and publishers

Just say no to fanboyism, kids

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
