Would love a new dual format player from Toshiba to make sure I can keep playing all my HDDVD's for a long time :) Would go nicely with my LG BH200, but I guess that will probably not happen.
As a European/Norwegian who orders a lot of blu's from the states, there is one BD-live posibility I would love to see implemented on every US disk release. Thats the posibility to download norwegian subtitles. That would make my wife watch all the movies I buy... I wouldnt even mind paying a few cents extra for that service :-)
Wish they would update their old flagship model, the BH200, to support BD-Live like they promised.
I have a Live subscription, but i think the problems are related to;
1) High Price in Europe compared to the US (And free to play online on PC/PS3)
2) Not enough content (US only downloads/ No VOD rentals and so on)
3) Language barriers for some contries (Not relevant for UK and Scandinavia)
Interesting article. Was woundering if anyone besides Broadcom try to deliver dual format reference designs(HW & Software), or samsung is going for a newer version of the Broadcom HW. That would imply that current UP5000 never will get upgraded to support the new HD sound formats.

Ben, any ideas about this?

Any information about when this will be launched in Europe?

If they can fix the HD-audio-codecs, then this will be the player to own.
I think that this player is more interesting for European people... Finally Blu users can buy US Bluray's witch is a lot cheaper.

A blue or HD platter in Norway starts at around 40$ and upwards.
Well... he is actually correct on this.

I am perfectly happy with my x360. Will probably add a Wii, but have no plans to buy the PS3.

So personally I dont mind at all about the delay. Actually I dont care at all when they launch here in Europe.
Or even on my 360 :-)
Ohh yes please. Been following this on the PC for a while, and it looks like it could be a winner. Would love to play it on my 365.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
