STFU x23.. Maybe he wants 5.1 audio from his 360 and AVI (Xvid) Is the only way to get it..

freaking tool

Nothing wrong with catching up to Tiger, if that's how you feel.. It's "leaps & bounds" over Vista imo.. so it's welcomed in a Windows environment.

I would "hold off" a Windows 7 system purchase if I could get an i7 or i5 in a macbook pro or iMac, so I could eseentially have both without the "hackintosh" (potenital) headaches..

Um.. $45 is not a deal.. I'd rather keep it.. I can get more from ebay (imo)..

I too have an ATV collecting dust, but I'm not letting it go for less than $150..

I use Media Center on my minis and it works great.. They are not used for internet access, outside of what VMC requires.. The little boxes just doesn't quit. I love it.

I really wish the ATV (Itunes?) opened up codec support, otherwise it was a bad investment, BUT I can still use it as a photo viewer..
I haven't upgraded yet.. but i won't if this cause problems for Bootcamp since I use Vista MC for my HTPC front end needs..
Will trade used 40GB AppleTV for NEW Apple Bluetooth Keyboard & NEW Mighty Mouse..

Local pickup only

I don't hate it, just got bored with it.. Lack of codecs in ITUNES, hacking it couldn't get access to the video proc (I believe @ the time I was using it) so MY 720 & up rez vids were sluggish.

1080p. fugetaboutit..

3 Mac Mini currently, looking to get number 4.. All running Vista Media Center & Media Browser.. best move I made in a looong time..

I've used this program, but it never loaded my entire Itunes library.. Haven't used it since.. Of course this was when it was free.. so I'll see about trying ti again...
woow! 475 hours? Really?

Way to talk about someone's math.. And that only applies IF you turn your computer off only once per day, so this WILL vary by user..
Help me understand something:

The New Pro (entry level) is being toted as being lower priced but it lost a CPU?!?!? And all of theis "speed" comparison is to what? The old Top End 8-Core to The New!?!? Big Deal.. An 8-Core STILL Cost more then it did yesterday.. Not that it's not warranted, but man this stinks!!

And please tell me that the Entry level has a second cpu socket otherwise this blows BIG TIME!!!

Is there a "FREE" app (non-jailbroken) that will allow the iphone to be used as mass storage? Or a setting in Itunes that I'm overlooking?

Thanks
I don't need a DVR, an optical drive would be nice on the occasion that the movie is a personal one or not available on ITMS..

But with the Mini option, the price is WAY more in the door than the asking price of $229..

It would be close to $1000:

$499-799 for refurb or new mini
more ram
more disk space
PVR software / hardware

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
