Do the online Total Access and you can trade in mailers to get games for $4.99 (more or less, depending on location)... Or just do the monthly Game Pass and pay a single monthly fee to have unlimited time with your games.

Blockbuster won't be dying out any time soon. They're on top of the rental industry and are nowhere near "going down in flames."

If you want "going down in flames" then look no further than Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video.

If Netflix and Gamefly joined into one service for a low monthly fee, then MAYBE Blockbuster would be in trouble.
Pepper spray doesn't cause pain-- it causes discomfort up the wazoo. I guess you could say it stings, but it's not the same as being tased over and over.

Batons do cause pain, and as such should be used only when force is required. Most cops know this.

The problem with Tasers is that cops aren't always trained properly in the use of them, and are often of the mind that they can use them liberally because they're "non-fatal." It's this liberal usage that makes the Taser step from "non-lethal means of apprehension" to torture.

Tase me once, shame on me. Tase me twice (or more) shame on you.
Just a plug for one of my favorite dock items relating to Boot Camp... I don't know what I'd do without BootChamp. It lets me boot to Windows without having to sit there and hold down the Option key, but it doesn't make a permanent change to my startup disk preferences.

Seeketh it and ye shall be happy. Dulang! dulang!
This is the second breast-touch-sensing robot I've seen this month!

B-B-But Bill O'Reilly says Global Warming is a lie!
The retail book stores aren't afraid. I'm selling more books than ever, thanks in part to Jo Rowling and the inability of Hollywood to come up with any stories of their own. Everything is an adaption of a book these days, and people see these stories and wonder what else is out there from the original author. Before long, they're in my store looking for good old paper-and-ink books.

Amazon would have had a HUGE impact on the retail book business selling regular books if they had just priced the Kindle under $200 -- Ideally, they should have hit the market at around $99 for the thing. People would have risked it at that price. As it stands, the only people buying the Kindle are rich mf'ers who do a lot of flying, or just HAVE to have the latest gadget. Regular readers aren't interested in dropping $400 on a device that may not even be supported in ten years.

If I buy a book, it's in my library for decades-- maybe even a century-- before it goes to my family and becomes someone else's book. If I buy a digital book on the Kindle, it will not be readable in 30 years, and maybe even less than that.

`Too many flaws in this thing to charge that much. Customers aren't flocking to it. My job is secure for now.
It's a whistle?
If you consider an island to be "a land mass surrounded by water on all sides" then you could say Australia is an island, and the Americas is an island chain. Where's the size distinction, here?

Apparently, there IS no size distinction between continent and island.

I say we start calling the U.K. a continent. Why not? If their penal colony can be a continent, then why not the former rulers of the Earth? Hasn't the British Empire earned that much, at least?

This is stupid.

If you're going to make all the motions of playing tennis, or football, or boxing, or shooting/running, then why not GO OUTSIDE and actually play a game of tennis, or football, or a few rounds of boxing, or a paintball tournament?

The reason I play video games is because I want all the fun of extreme physical activities without the physical stress. If I have to actually get up and RUN to make Mario run, and JUMP to make Mario jump, I'll just have to shoot my game console.

I don't want to use mo-cap in a game. If I'm going to make all the damned motions, I'll actually DO the thing I'm doing the motions for. Sword fighting? I could rejoin the fencing team. Race-car driving? I could do that, too, on a public track. FPS? Paintball. Platform game? Go to the gym and get on a stairmaster! Most sports would be more productive in the real world than running and making throwing motions in your living room would be. I can't think of a single reason why I'd want motion capture to power my games.

"It's just like doing the real thing!" THAT'S BECAUSE YOU *ARE* BASICALLY DOING THE REAL THING, DUMB-ASS!
Ugh. So a Web-ho and her photographer boyfriend got ripped off NOT ONLY by the jerks who run Suicide Girls, but by Meizu too?!?!

BWAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry. I should be more sympathetic. I mean, Apnea is cute and all... but really, shouldn't this be a sign that if you're going to make a career out of posing nekkid on the Internet you'd better be prepared to be surrounded by sleazy people with bad intentions?

Apnea, darling... Dump Lithium Picnic (he's exploiting you as much as SG did) and find a nice guy who doesn't insist on making his portfolio out of nude shots of you until you're older and no longer pretty, at which point he'll likely dump you for a younger model. Think about it, girl.

You've got the look. You don't need to sleaze around the Internet.

And LP-- While I don't think your rampant exploitation of your sweetie-pie is the best way to make your living, I do believe you have every right to sue the bejeezus out of Meizu for using said exploitive photos for their own profit without your permission. Nail them to the wall and get every penny you can before Apnea gets wise and finds a guy who doesn't require his chicks to get naked and stand in front of the camera. Really, she went out of the frying pan into another frying pan, if you ask me.

Granted, I don't know either of you, but I've followed the news. I know the score. I've seen it all before. She's the star. You're just the guy who sells her nudity. . . I think the word most people would use for that is "pimp."

More power to you, mate. If I had her, though, I'd be a little less eager to convince her to continue showing her snatch to everyone on the Internet... Even if they did offer to pay for it.

But what does one expect from a girl who named herself after a breathing disorder and a guy who chose a substance used to treat bipolar disorder for his professional name?

No, really. You're good kids. A little shark-like and scary, but good kids. Apnea's gorgeous, and LP's a clever bloke for being able to shag her AND make a few dollars off her nudity on the side. I sincerely hope Meizu pays for this injustice.

Say hello to Malice for me. What's she doing these days? Burger King?

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
