I've been wondering for a while now why an official version of this kind of thing isn't available. And why isn't there a bluetooth version of Uhura's earpiece?
Well, now I have no service at all. T-Mobile is saying only 5% of customers are affected. Anyone wanna bet they're understating things a little?
Also in San Diego. Still showing 4 bars of 3G.
I don't see them denying anything in the interview -- they're just evasive: "...the instant streaming disc represented the fastest and easiest way to let PS3 enthusiasts get Netflix on the PS3." Which could be interpreted as, "this is the only way we could get Netflix streaming on the PS3 right now without violating our agreement with Microsoft."
Unfortunately, it is just a guy in a suit, according to Wikipedia:

I haven't noticed data being down here in San Diego, but I've been using wifi most of the weekend, since I'm at home. When I have used T-Mobile's data, though, it's been fine.
Okay, but what is a "motion comic"? Do the pages shake, so you can't read them?
@atomb - "How is android any more open then the iphone os. You have to go through their approved store to get apps for either one. I was looking into getting a G1 but I was let down that it still has to be "jailbroken" to do all the fun stuff with it."

Actually, no, you don't have to go through the Market. There's even a handy little setting on the phone to allow the install of non-Market applications. And, if you're wondering how Android is more open, perhaps you've missed the many articles covering Apples seemingly arbitrary approval process for iPhone apps? I won't make any excuses for the system's legitimate shortcomings (app installs being restricted to built-in phone memory is the worst, in my opinion), but as far as openness goes, Android has the iPhone beat, plain and simple.
Now, if they just come out with Slingplayer Mobile for Android, I won't have to miss a moment of TV when those surprise cases of explosive diarrhea come up.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
