Nearly 1400 B-R's currently available ... and that probably doesn't include those of "ill repute."

I think the TiVo users here in northern Virginia have noted that shows recorded via the tuning adapter aren't properly marked for copy protection. This results in not being able to pull recordings to PC.

I had been gifted with a TiVo HD but sent it back. knowing that the CableCard+Tuning Adapter situation here wasn't flawless. I think Cox is moving in the right direction, but I'm just not ready to spend money (lifetime subscription, CableCard fee, hard drive upgrade) until things are darn near perfect.
Somebody's gotta try and hack this thing to work on other networks, right? :)
I've used the Dell 24" LCD strictly as my HD display since it became available in March. The price was right ($900 shipped at the time with sales tax) and it has done a great job. As mentioned, this LCD doesn't have the HDCP circuitry enabled (supposedly, it is in there, just no "active"), so it cannot be fed from an HDMI source (converted to DVI). I've been using the Component inputs with my SA-8300HD cable box with no problems at all. I've never used it as a PC display. It probably too big for me to sit right in front of it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
