Brilliant! One of my favorite childhood TV shows and my favorite movie series. I cried with joy just a little.
Danny Trejo..... another character actor instantly recognizable as "Oh yeah... that guy!"

'Mahna Mahna' was indeed featured on the Muppet Show - in fact it's the first sketch in the Julet Prowse episode on the season 1 DVD.

However, it WAS also on Sesame Street in 1969 and on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1968... the character (actually called Mahna Mahna) was designed as a symbol of freedom of expression - it was the 1960's folks!

More info about the song is available here... some of it is surprising...

Perhaps the victim came into the diner for a piece of pi... Is that not clearly what's represented by the "half-stool" in the right window?

As for the strip in the background... I can make out the Bellagio, the Monte Carlo, New York, New York, and possibly Caesar's Palace? Mirage? Rio? Mandalay Bay?

...though the hotels I could identify are not necessarily in the correct order as they exist on the strip (or just off-strip in the case of the Rio)... However, this is based on only a few days'/nights' experience in Vegas. Anyone else with more Sin City knowledge care to weigh in? Maybe we're all looking too deeply now for something that isn't there?
Hands.... down.... Engadget 1985!

Happy boithday, you toddlers!
OMG - I remember being 16 yrs ols and watching that Grammy synth performance - and being blown away! I was playing around with my C-64's SID chip in those days, composing my own music and trying to emulate the synth hits of the day, so that stuff was right up my alley... Sadly, I now I remind myself of a young Ross Geller.
Anyone else here agree with me that Aaron Pierce is among the coolest secondary characters on TV? I mean, the guy is so frickin' loyal, but not just blindly - from the first season with David Palmer. Now he's forced to get in the targeted car with the crazy First Lady?

I'll be disappointed the day he gets it - it will come eventually. Whatever happens, you know he'll go down shooting, though. He ain't goin' out like no punk.
a la Bart Simpson...

The DLP projectors we have here at work have a bulb hour counter in their menus - basically tracks the hours of bulb use. The counter resets when a bulb is replaced. Do any DLP or LCD TVs have a similar feature?
Next time on "Pimp My Segway"...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
