RF with base station........ How about some blue-tooth love for the PS3 crowd.
Didn't HAL have photonic circuits, I remember Bob Balaban pushing in clear glass circuit cards in 2010 to bring the discovery back online...... Uh oh......
Where the hell are Spike and FX......
I too am an Apple and Windows hybrid user. I use OS X for final cut pro, duh. and Adobe CS3. And Vista for just about everything else, well except the xp I have running on my mac in VMware Fusion, so I can access our exchange server.

All that being said OS X excels in the creative world, but is far behind in true productivity in a business environment. Adobe Creative suite runs much faster and smoother on a mac and final cut blows anything you can run on a pc out of the water. However, real business apps are terrible on the mac. You don't really use OS X, you trick it so that the OS thinks it wants to do the same thing as you.

VISTA is perfectly fine OS if you have decent hardware to run it on, but I think Microsoft was a victim of their own success. XP was so unbelievable good, that Vista had to be a panacea to be successful.
These things will run on biofuels, as will all jets. Branson flew a 747 across the pond on corn oil a few months back.
Interesting. Weren't the J58's on the SR-71's very similar to these? A turbojet inside of a ramjet? Built those in 1957. 50 Years later the skunkworks guys are finally being caught up to. This Vulcan is essentially one step past the J58.
Looks like Sony is going after Onkyo's low end with these 3. The 820 looks like a direct competitor to the TX-SR606. I do like Sony's simple look, 4 knobs and 12 buttons on the front. As opposed to my Onkyo TX-SR606's 28 buttons and 2 knobs. The $100 lower price point doesn't hurt either.
Jumper, yikes a terrible movie, rented it on Blu and didn't even watch the whole thing. You can certainly tell that Blu-Ray sales are dominated by the PS3 crowd. Planet earth still in the top ten, talk about HD legs. In other news the only Blu-Ray disc in my PS3 for the last week: MGS4.....
IT IS a hybrid

From Webster's New Millennium™ Dictionary of English
Main Entry: hybrid car
Part of Speech: n
Definition: an automobile with more than one power source, such as an electric motor and internal combustion engine or an electric motor with battery and fuel cells for energy storage; also called hybrid vehicle
I concur, for me I live 12 miles from work and the volt would be fine. However the point I was trying to make is that I think we should be able to do better.

Here's the biggest issue. I drive 12 miles to work, which is about 6000 miles a year for my commute. (5 days x 50 weeks x 24 miles round trip) So if gas is $5.00 a gallon and my vehilce gets 20 MPG thats $1500 a year in gas to get back and forth to work. (6000/20) = 300 gallons x $5.00 = $1500.

It going to take 10 years to make up the $15,000 price premium over a 20 mpg $25,000 car.

Again, I think we can do better.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
