No you won't. Once you see Avatar in Imax 3D and you will, you'll change your mind. I will blow u away.

240hz makes sense for 3D. If one is going to do 3D righ, it has to be 240hz. I watched a lot of 3D content and I even watched Avatar 20 minute preview in IMAX and was blown away by the visuals and sharpness and colors (when there was no motion), but the motion was lacking. Anytime something was moving really fast, the refresh rate could not keep up. Same issue with 60hz per eye at 1080p 3D. Now I know why some are saying it is not neccesary to have 240hz. On a 2D TV it does not matter anymore whether it is 240hz, 480hz, etc. But in 3D, it makes sense. It gives you sharper picture in motion and no judder. Samsungs guys knows what they are doing.

Slappy, you need to get slapped, just kidding, interested nick. Anyway, you say people are cheap. So are u. People are educated and thrifty and do the research before they buy because nobody wants to be sold, they want to buy. The companies should do their own research and realize that americans are willing to pay for something but they dont want to be screwed. The jnd (just noticeable difference) in picture does not justify hundreds of dollars in price and you can call us cheap, but we are not. Cheap is the one that looks at all the tvs and buys best buy brand (insignia), westinghouse or olevia, they are ok, they'll do, but it means you just want a TV in your room, not a home theater. If you get a 32" in your living room, dont even get the TV, stick with the tube, go to your friends that has a 50" or more, then decide. I watched a blu ray on a 32" lcd at my friends house at it was way too small. I came home and watched the same movie and I personally think it was way too small for the room. You probably think that haggling makes one look cheap, but it is the oldest proffesion, even before the oldest proffession (we all know what that is) came to be. Anyway, try it al your local Best buy.

All of these people that say 3D is a gimmick and all that have not been exposed to the true potential of 3Dd. If you watched "up" and "meatballs" in 3d u have not seen anything yet. True potential of 3D can be seen in Avatar. I was one of the few that got a 20 minute preview of it in imax 3D and I can easily say I was on that lanet Pandora. This is the first time when I was actually emotinally involved all the way throught the movie because it puts u there. This will be the biggest movie since Titanic. I walked out and was left wanting to see the whole movie because it was mind bending. There has never been a 20 minute preview of a movie and now I see why he did it. You have to see it on imax. The trailer should have not been released before the movie because it does not do it justice. This is why I want 3D, for movies like that. You'll remember me on Dec 18 when Avatart comes out.

No offense taker, but this may be the most ridiculous statement ever. When you are watching 3D sports, there is not only one guy with a camera in the stands that records everything. If this is the case, than that is some really cheap local station that can't afford two cameras. There are about 20-30 cameras and each one will give you a different perspective and some even put you in the action. Anyway, wait untill you see the game in 3D then give us your impression.

Let me try again. The interpolated frame is not exactly the same as the original frame. It is different in a sense that pixels are shifted lets say to the right by two or three pixels. It is like the first cartoons where each page of paper was a little different and showed part of the motion (lets say a hand moving). If you flip the pages really fast you'll get motion. This works the same way. It is mathematically aproximating motion. In a true 120hz monitor or TV. The frames are exactly alike, so if they were pages for example with images on them and you flip them fast, it would be exactly the same page, no motion. The fact that you dont like what 120hz does to you picture is personal preference. It would do miracles in 3d, believe me. Personally love it and it creates true depth to my picture. The tv you have is 120 hz, but it uses intepolation method to produce 120 frames by inserting another frame in between the existing frames 60. The insterted frames are not exactly the same frames as the original ones, but it anticipates where the action on the next frame should be and inserts it. This is why it is not true 120 frames. Real 120hz has no improvised frames to insert but it really has 120 frames. So 3d would not work on a simulated 120 hz, cause they are not exactly alike. On a true 120hz tv, it is split into 60 frames per eye, so 120/2=60 frames per eye. It is evolutionary, but it is still backwards because when you split it into 60 frames per eye, the 120hz motion dejudder and smooth motion is gone. So, youll have the same issue with blurry action as on 60hz tv. This is why we need true 240hz 3d tv, 120 per eye. All the issues will be gone and you'll get an immersive experience. It's coming, patience my young Paduan. Another thing that is making me mad is the people that complain about 3d glasses. Let me tell you something. Do we see our world and in 3d through a window or are we totally immersed. So imagine a 60inch screen that is in 3d but no glasses. How immersive is that, you still see all your crap on the table, your cheap lamp, socks on the floor, and all the stuff in your room where it takes you out of experience. The 3d is there, but you are not in it. Now that same screen with glasses, This is in you face experience that is all around you, and you are in it. The only thing that separates you is the distance between you eyes and your glasses. To me it is like watching beautiful fish and coral through glass bottom boat or actually putting on a mask and diving with the fish. Hope this helps.

Harman Kardon fell off. I used to want one untill I bought Onkyo which support the latest and has more bells and whistless than most receivers. The performance is also top notch. I am not saying H/K is not great but it took them awhile to add dts-MA and True HD. I gave up on them.

If you have not seen the 17 minute preview and only going from the trailer, then you can not judge the movie. I thought the same thing when I saw the trailer but I had no idea that after I saw the preview at the IMAX3D, it would change the way I watch movies forever. Give it a chance.
