This would be a great alternative to my Airport Express.
I had both iPhones, I loved them both. They really were fun to use...and I love that Remote App. As lame as it may sound that is still my favorite app. My biggest problem with the iPhone was AT&T. The service was just unreliable. I didnt believe that turning off 3G just to have a more reliable EDGE connection was a real solution. Also EDGE was not the greatest either.

I switched back to Verizon and got a Blackberry Curve. Given the Blackberry does not have the flashiness of the iPhone but I get a signal everywhere, never drop a call, 3G(EVDO) works anywhere and everywhere.

If Verizon came out with an iPhone I think there would be a mass exodus from AT&T. I was really looking forward to the Blackberry Storm, but what a piece of junk that turned out to be.
This would be a nice addition to the house
I had the first iPhone and reception was good at my house but horrible at work. I could not even make a call, let alone surf the web. I bought the new phone with hopes of getting better reception.

When at home I get about 1 bar of 3G and that is rare, it usually goes back and forth. When switching between 3G and EDGE automatically it will occasionally drop/miss calls. When I turn 3G off I get a great EDGE signal and everything sounds fine. Now the new iPhone I get two bars of EDGE at work.

Now I agree I am paying a premium for 3G(and have it turned off), but I mainly wanted the better built phone with stronger reception...which I have. Every phone cant be perfect and most arent, hell I could get an LG Dare from Verizon and have faster EVDO but then I cant sync iTunes and other OSX stuff.
These prices arent that good. I have an iPhone now which is just an OK phone. Like someone else said it saves me from carrying two devices. Was thinking of ditching the iPhone and getting a Blackberry Pearl but the Verizon data plans are so expensive.
I picked one up last night at Circuit City, ordered online and picked up at the store.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
