Yeah, I'm not surprised either. Blizzard have protected their Diablo trademark in the past, claiming they have planned a movie at some point.

Go check http://www.diablo-movie.com
Now all we have to do is sit and wait for the beta!

Rumor has it, it will come out later this year (grab one of those Blizzcon tickets as well). See here:

"If I burn mix music CDs (copyrighted material), and send it to my friends via USPS, would it be fair to sue USPS, since obviously they are delivering the CDs? What's the difference?"

If UPS knew and benefited from shipping this content, then "Hell yeah"!
Remember that Google is behind Youtube now and these guys have been scanning books in libraries. Hitler's burning of books pales in comparison.
I think the most important point about the Long Tail that Chris Anderson is making is that as 1) distribution costs for digital content reach zero; and 2) inventory/space is no longer a limitation, consumers will actually be able to pick a favorite out of the WHOLE distribution, not just the VertRamp.

Right now, the VertRamp is the way to go if you want to make money and Marc is right about that. Hopefully, Chris will be right about the fact that consumers will actually be interested to discover content beyond the VertRamp.

There could be many scenarios as a result. One very unlikely could be the demise (oh no!) of Big media companies as intermediaries between artists and consumers. Another (more likely) could be the creation of user communities who actually promote certain labels/artists and Big media could sponsor these or use them as an advertising vehicle (myspace?).
I love Starcraft but I don't see how Blizzard are going to succeed in bringing a sequal to it. Apart from adding 3D graphics, I don't see how they gonna improve on it.

Quite the opposite with Diablo 3. The doors are wide open for a sequal: both from a story/game perspective and from a business perspective. Be it MMO or not, Diablo 3 will be one of the annoucements in 2007.

Diablo 3 HAS to be one of these product announcements. Blizzard just came out with a Diablo trilogy (books!). They are keeping the franchise alive and warming it for a 2007 announcement:

I'm not buying. I'm waiting for Diablo 3.
Considering Google's insane P/E, I'd say that paying in highly overvalued stock for a hype video service is a good deal.
That's comparing apples to oranges... or rather, comparing TV to anything. There are people who will defend it to the death that video on their mobile phone looks GREAT. All things considered, I'd rather view a youtube video on my 19" monitor. HD content is best viewable on my HD TV. So to each, its own.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
