companies have been touting "cheaper plasmas" for forever now, but its just not happening. older sets are priced to compete, but the new ones will continue to cost an arm and a leg. Whats more, once the majority of consumers start looking into HD, they'll realize the drawbacks of the plasma (esp with the EDTV fiasco). Increased inventory should equal lower pricing...meh, one can dream.
I just picked up a 26" Aquos for $1297 (CND) :)
Its a shame really. Usually these things are for the average joe. However, the average joe can't really afford a $5,000 HD camera :[
if anything, you should've went. then, humiliate the show on via the internet, one blog at a time :p (god forbid we need anymore reality tv)
Soyo used to be a big name in computer hardware - specifically for their motherboards. http://images.google.ca/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-38,GGLG:en&q=soyo%20dragon&sa=N&tab=wi
Wow, I don't think I remember a post with this many comments before. Then again, I can't really remember what I had for dinner last nite... ;p
the 'box stats' on Microsoft's site is in utter dismay, most notably the number of players on the majority of titles. Also, the games catalogue lists *ALL* the games as having "No Support" for HDTV. :)
This is too easy: http://www.hdbeat.com/2005/09/28/hdtv-buying-guide-choosing-the-right-kind/ Yes, there's probably a hundreds of these articles floating on the net...but the beauty lies in the fact that this one is so utterly simply and straightforward. Added linkage to examples equals instant win!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
